A New Community For Members Of All 12 Step Recovery Groups
Alcoholics Anonymous | Narcotics Anonymous | Alanon | Cocaine Anonymous | Alateen | CODA... If Your Group Is A Twelve Step Program I personally Invite You To Be A Part Of this New Community!

We Are Nothing Without Each Other
I'm Gary and I'm an alcoholic. I have been sober for more than six years now and it is more clear to me everyday how important my recovery is in my life and for everyone who loves me (whether they know it or not). Without an active recovery from my alcoholism I have nothing - except for my disease. Without Alcoholics Anonymous I wouldn't have a wife or a daughter or a job or most importantly a relationship with my Higher Power.
I need all of you - even all of you I don't know (yet). We all need each other to keep the spirit of 12 step recovery alive in all of us; No matter what 12 step program we belong to or what we are recovering from.
An experiment in bringing us all together.
I am launching this experiment for everybody in all the 12 step programs so that we can benefit from other's Experience Strength & Hope in a way that might not have been possible otherwise. No Mental Defense.com is being launched in 2 basic stages: No Mental Defense
The Book No Mental Defense.com
The Online Community for people in recovery
The idea behind the book is to compile 50 stories of Experience Strength & Hope written by you.
Submit your story; tell us what it was like, what happened, and what it is like now. Doesn't matter if you have 30 days or 30 years - you have something important to tell. Click on the 'Your Story' tab at the top of the page and start writing (you can also copy and paste it from a word or text document). I want to stress that this is not a for profit endeavor - this is an attempt to spread the word of 12 step recovery through our personal stories. After all, isn't that a big part of how it works?
An innovative online social community for members of 12 step groups.
Think of Facebook on steroids and exclusively for people in recovery. As this is still in development a page has been set up for your suggestions. What do you want in a community like this? How do you think this can benefit recovery as a whole? Just go to the 'Community Suggestions' tab and let me know what you think.
We can do this together.
We can spread the word of recovery - whether it is the language of Narcotics Anonymous | Alcoholics Anonymous | Alanon or whatever. The fact is we are all in this together... We can spread the word hopefully touching someone who is still suffering and definitely supporting our own recovery.
Submit your story today.
I am sure you know somebody with a powerful message; be sure and give them this website address so they can submit their experience strength and hope as well.
